Visit from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon

Today our office looked its best, we had an important quest coming. The Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon.

Here is the press release from the visit:

On his visit to technology and lifestyle company Bolder, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon Magnus received a demonstration of the 3000 m^2 experience center Bolder is building in the Tvedt center at Forus in Stavanger. The center is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2017 and will be Norway’s first living lab to test mixed reality on a large scale.

The company with Eirik Skjærseth in the front has global ambitions and is actively working with Stavanger Municipality to develop the region. Bolder shall enable people to use smart solutions that are personalized in terms of content and learning. Together with Stavanger Municipality and UiS among others, they will make Stavanger a test arena for smart technology concepts for people. This will constitute a regional laboratory for research and development. The Bolder platform enables Stavanger Municipality’s vision by giving companies and organizations the opportunity to try their products in an environment that will be a cutting edge in technology development at national and international levels.

In 2017, the company will roll out several other projects that will be included in the Tested in Stavanger vision. Together with Stavanger Municipality, they will make the residents of Stavanger a little smarter, partly by digitizing the tour project 52 everyday hikes. This will be a bridge carrier for better experiences for the citizens of the city, by optimizing and testing services in the city with residents as active participants. Looking at this project in conjunction with the project Bolder has with Stavanger Forum and Nordic Edge, opens a golden opportunity for tourism in Rogaland to take the lead in the development of smart tourism.
